I found another really truly wonderful blog developed by Vicki, who is committed too designing and making her cat toys for her favorite charity, The Pet Refuge. It's her way of helping. Vicki gave me permission to mention her blog and post the knit whale pattern on my blog. She's a knitter, crocheter, and spinner "trying to live a simpler life in this frantic world we live in. I'm owned by 3 kitties: Solitaire, Boo, and Pooka" she says. Look for her as SimpleKnits on Ravelry, too. Thank you Vicki for the wonderful thing you do and for sharing your patterns with us.
Her blog can be found at http://simpleknits.blogspot.com/ Simple Knits is chock full of beautiful patterns Vicki has created so make sure you check out all her patterns.
Vicki says:
I designed this pattern for charitable use (though you may knit as many toys as you like for your own cats or as gifts for other kitties). Do not sell toys made from this pattern unless all money raised from such sale is donated to your local animal shelter. If you do use this pattern to support your shelter, I'd love to hear about it.
Thank you so much Vicki!
If anyone has any great tips for camping, RVing or traveling let me know. Or maybe you have a quick and easy campfire recipe. See my other blog RV Travel blog.

Looks fine to me. I appreciate the help getting out the word to help animal shelters. They're suffering badly from loss of donations and extra animals to care for as people can no longer afford to care for their pets in this economy.
Love it!! I helped start the Colorado Pit Bull Rescue and my guy is a rescue himself so this subject is very dear to me. I wish that my dog wasnt so rough with his toys so I could make some for him lol.
I hope all is well with you.
Tiff :)
Tiff,
Glad you like my post about your blog and rescue mission. I DID make my kitties a whale and they went nuts over it. At first they kind of fought over it. The male really loves the catnip and the female not so much. It was so easy to knit up and went so fast. Thank you so much for sharing.
Haha sounds like total Kitty Insanity! Sounds like you will have to make each one their own.
Tiff :)
You should have seen them two. One kitty is old and one young but the older one sure does dominate! I will have to make another one tonight. Kathy
Thanks to Vicki for sharing this pattern. I'm using it to raise money for the shelter we adopted our cats from through my Etsy shop, www.libertyandtiffany.etsy.com
I hope Vicki will contact me if she would like me to add a pattern credit in her name to the listing.
Judith, thank you so much and I'm sure Vicki does, too. We can all help and it adds up to great things.
Kathy
Hi Kathy,
Thank you, I can't leave a comment for Vicki without a Blogger account. If she would like me to put her name to the pattern she can leave a comment on her blog or yours and I will see it.
