Knit Lace Pattern Design

You can see that when you're designing you just never know what you're going to get. I love the stitch I had chosen but it might not work too well with the yarn I have to use.

One problem I think is that the needles could be too big or the yarn to small. Also, this stitch might not be good for a shawl as it seems to snag very easily and you don't want that.

I worked for only about an hour or so and have decided to rip it out and either try other yarn or a different stitch.

I've never done anything with a stich of that kind, large loop-like stitches, so I wouldn't have the vaguest idea of what to suggest that would be useful. It looks pretty to me, but if it snags easily, that could be a problem. Maybe something with less loops or smaller ones???

I've actually seen a baby blanket using this stitch but not sure that would be good. I'm thinking another shawl yet, but catching fingers in it all the time could be a real nuisance.
